Roles & Responsibilities of the Secretary

  • Attend all NECO Executive Council monthly meetings to record minutes, (responsible for appointing someone to attend and record meeting minutes when not available).

  • Responsible for creating NECO Executive Council meeting agendas (stored on the Gmail Drive) and disbursing to NECO Executive Council members at least 72 hours prior to monthly meetings. Secretaries are responsible for reaching out to Committee Chairs and collecting line items for the agenda.

  • Keep accurate meeting minutes at all meetings (stored on Gmail Drive) and distribute to NECO members within 72 hours.

  • Distribute all other communications to NECO members as requested by other Executive Council members.

  • Responsible for booking equipment and rooms as required for events and meetings if not done by Committee members.

  • Primary responsibility for monitoring the uofm.neco@gmail.com email.
