Senior Co-President - Eliana Hotz (She/They)

It has been Eliana's privilege over the last year to provide leadership and support to the NECO executive council. She loves to share her passions for food and nutrition education, gardening and strengthening local food systems. Now more than ever, ethical, and motivated leaders are pivotal to a changing society. Eliana hopes that NECO will provide an opportunity for FHNS students to expand their skillsets and learn how to apply those skills to become leaders in their respective communities, whether that be with their peers at the University of Manitoba, or as they exit into their professional careers. When Eliana is not working or studying, she is gardening, cooking, and is always staying curious about the intricacies of people and the world. Her parting advice? Stay courageous in vulnerability and look for opportunities to make mistakes; more people than you realize are rooting for you!

Junior Co-President - Mehak Wadhwa (She/Her)

Hello everyone! I am Mehak Wadhwa and I am Co-President for NECO. I am an International student from India and I am currently in my 3rd year of B.Sc. Human Nutritional Science (Dietetics Prep). I joined NECO last year as a Co-President and had no prior experience. I have learned so much since and it feels great to be a part of a community of nutrition students who are working towards enhancing all student experiences on Campus. My hobby is basically just experimenting with different cuisines. A fun fact about me: I taught myself how to play a keyboard and speak basic French from the internet.
